RIGHT TO PROTEST

Amnesty International Eastern Suburbs would like to invite you to a ZOOM meeting on the RIGHT TO PROTEST, as part of a National 10 Days of Action for our Write for Rights in December.
The event is inspired and dedicated to Gustavo Gatica, the 21 year old Chilean student blinded by police in Santiago last year while peacefully protesting.

Patty Castro, Chilean refugee, will talk about protesting in Chile in 70’s and today.
Ken Canning, Aboriginal Elder, on Black protests in Australia. What it means to protest as a minority group
Juno Gemes, photographer, on the importance of documenting protests. Juno will screen some of her iconic photos or protests from her archive
Nikita White, Amnesty International, on our Right to Protest campaign.
