I cortometraggi dei tre concorsi che abbiamo organizzato dal 2014 al 2016 con il sostegno della Sydney Film School sui temi “Il Viaggio/The Journey” (2014), “La Terra/The Land” (2015) and “Inclusion/e” (2016), con circa 15 partecipanti ogni anno. Potete guardare i cortometraggi partecipanti.
TEATRO BILINGUE FILEF: scene dalle commedie scritte e messe in scena dal gruppo.
Il Teatro Bilingue Filef si è format nel 1984 e ha continuato fino al 1992. Si proponeva di mettere in scena temi sociali come diritti dei lavoratori e diritti umani, promozione della lingua e cultura italiana, pacifismo e opposizione al razzismo.
I dialoghi erano una combinazione di inglese e di italiano, permettendo agli spettatori monolingui di seguire e di godersi lo spettacolo. Le commedie esploravano temi come la vita degli immigrati nel nuovo paese, guerra e pace, il ruolo delle donne, i diritti alla terra degli aborigeni e la generazione rubata, e il ruolo dei lavoratori immigrati.
I titoli delle commedie erano: Nuovo Paese/New Country (1984); Lasciateci in Pace/Leave us in Peace (1986); L’Albero delle Rose/The Tree of Roses (1987), Otto Marzo/Eight of March, La Storia di una Cosa/The Story of a Thing (1987); Storie in Cantiere/Stories in Construction (1988); Diavolozoppo/The Con Artist (1992).
WEIRD MOB FILM FESTIVALS
Tre edizioni dedicate al cinema su temi delle migrazioni:
2005: Registi italo-australiani. Circa 30 fra lungometraggi e cortometraggi su alcuni aspetti chiave del processo di integrazione degli immigrati italiani in Australia, comparando le esperienze di tre generazioni.
2007: Emigrati italiani attorno al mondo, in paesi come Argentina, Brasile, Stati Uniti, Canada and Germania,
2009: L’esperienza di immigrati in Italia e il duro processo di integrazione

FILEF SHORT FILM COMPETITIONS:
Shorts from the three Short Film Competitions organised by Filef Sydney with the support of the Sydney Film School, between 2014 to 2016. There were three themes: Il Viaggio/The Journey (2014), La Terra/The Land (2015) and Inclusion/e (2016), with about 15 entries each year. You can watch the participating shorts.
FILEF BILINGUAL THEATRE GROUP
Scenes from the plays written and staged by the Filef Bilingual Theatre Group (FTG).
Established in 1984, FTG productions continued until 1992. It aimed to explore social issues such as workers’ and human rights, promotion of Italian language and culture, pacifism and opposition to racism.
Dialogue was a combination of English and Italian, allowing also monolingual spectators to follow and enjoy the show. The plays explored themes such as the life of migrants in their new country, war and peace, the role of women, Aboriginal land rights and the stolen generation and the role of migrant workers.

2005: Italo-Australian directors. About thirty between full length and shorts depicting some key aspects of the integration process of Italian migrants in Australia, comparing the experiences of three generations.

2009: The experience of immigrants in Italy and the hard process of integration
