La Brexit non è stata una semplice espressione di rabbia nata dalla frustrazione e dall’impotenza da parte dei cittadini dell’UK.
E’ chiaro che gli stessi sintomi sono ormai diffusi in tutta l’Europa, che è sotto pressione da una stagnazione sopratutto economica, ma che ha delle conseguenze sociali e politiche.
Quella Europa che cominciava ad unire gli Europei in un quadro di legislazione interessante dal punto di vista ambientale e progresso civico, si è invece dimostrata incapace di affrontare il crescente divario economico, conseguenza di un capitalismo sempre più libero e bisognoso di nuovi campi di investimento e profitto.
Questa disparità e la pietra sulla quale si reggono la disoccupazione endemica, il crescente costo della vita, la incapacità dei governi di poter sovvenzionare il welfare dei loro popoli e il ritardo di interventi per colmare i rischi del cambiamento climatico, causato dall’impatto umano.
Sono soprattutto lacune scatenate dall’Occidente per via dei suo stile di vita, legati ad un sistema economico poco funzionale per le esigenze sociali ed ambientali, ma anche per una produzione più sensata.
Ormai è chiaro che dopo l‘11 Settembre la struttura delle Nazione Unite è state relegata ad un ruolo secondario e non è più usato e nemmeno visto come un organo sopra-nazionale per mediare tensioni e conflitti.
Il crescente potere del capitalismo, che ormai supera quello dei governi nazionali, non può gradire che l’Europa cresca in un blocco di civiltà Occidentale progressista e gli va bene avere delle nazioni e delle comunità caotiche.
Una conferma del caos e contraddizione e’ il fatto che si passano delle leggi per proteggere cosi’ minuziosamente la vita – tanto per esempio il casco per la moto e la cintura della macchina – ma poi l’individuo può essere privo della possibilità di guadagnare il suo pane.
La sfida della disparità riguarda la giustizia economica quanto quelle ambientale che sono indispensabili per la pace sociale.
Britain’s exit from the European Union (Brexit) was more than a simple expression of anger born of frustration and impotence on the part of UK citizens.
The same symptoms are not just common in Europe which is under pressure mainly from an economic stagnation but which has social and political consequences.
The EU was beginning to unite Europeans in an interesting legislative framework with regards to the environment and civic progress. However, it has been unable to address the growing economic gap, a result of a freer global capital in search of new investment fields and profits.
The resulting disparity is the bedrock on which rest endemic unemployment, high living costs, governments’ inability to fund essential services and welfare and tardy interventions to address the risks of human instigated climate change.
These contemporary and seemingly intractable problems have been largely caused by unsustainable Western lifestyles, linked to a dysfunctional economic system incapable of meeting social and environmental needs, but also in developing a more sensible production.
It is clear that after September 11 the United Nations has been relegated to a secondary role and is no longer used or even seen as a supra-national body to mediate tensions and conflicts.
Global capital, whose power now exceeds that of many national governments, may not favour a united and progressive European block and prefers instead chaotic nations and communities.
An example of the chaos and contradiction is the passing of laws that meticulously seem to protect – such as obligatory bicycle helmets and seat belts – but deny individuals the right to earn their keep.
The challenge posed by disparity is to achieve economic and environmental justice that are essential for social peace.

Al Ministro Gentiloni e al Sottosegretario Enzo Amendola che si erano impegnati formalmente per il ripristino di suddette somme il mio grazie per l’impegno e il risultato ottenuto – aggiunge il Senatore – un forte segnale è arrivato per le nostre comunità, non possiamo disperdere un patrimonio che può e deve essere fiore all’occhiello del Governo, dell’Italia e di tutti gli italiani all’estero”, conclude Giacobbe .
Ormai è chiaro che i paesi benestanti non sono politicamente in grado di affrontare la crisi dei migranti, e non soltanto perché il numero dei profughi ha raggiunto cifre spaventose (secondo l’ONU, 59,5 milioni di persone in tutto il mondo sono stati costrette a lasciare i loro paesi).
Ancora pesano gli interessi dei paesi ricchi e delle corporazioni, che ormai gestiscono un potere globale che non è indifferente a quello delle ‘democrazie’, che contribuiscono all’instabilità che infiamma la situazione.
La crisi dei migranti presenta una sfida globale ed è ora che si inizi a confrontarla come tale, cercando d’indirizzare quei notevoli sforzi – salvataggi, muri, campi profughi, spese d’emergenza e cosi via – in un progetto costruttivo mirato all’eliminazione del vuoto di azione e di speranza per quei milioni di esseri umani attualmente lasciati a se stessi.
Non è più accettabile che i campi di profughi sparsi nel mondo, spesso in zone disagevoli, continuino ad essere serbatoi umani.
La perdita di ogni vite umane in circostanze tragiche nei paesi occidentale attira sempre attenzione e fa notizia. Dovrebbe essere lo stesso per quelle moltitudini di vite perse e per le sofferenze di quella gente in fuga dal pericolo o che semplicemente cerca di sopravvivere.
Superare l’idea dei ‘muri’ in quelle nazioni che non vogliono ospitare gli immigrati sarà difficile anche perché ci servono soluzioni immediate che non possono aspettare ad una maturazione di coscienza e compassione.
Un progetto in grado di offrire una soluzione è quello di un consenso globale per individuare un territorio dove si può creare un paese ospite (Terra di Pace? Stato di Pace?).
La formazione di Israele ce ne offre un esempio storico, con il beneficio dell’esperienza. Ecco dove gli sforzi internazionali potrebbero avere un frutto immediato.
Gli immigrati stessi potrebbero contribuire attivamente a questo progetto invece di essere dei soggetti passivi e privi di ogni possibilità di incidere sul loro destino. E’ anche probabile che nell’emergenza sia possibile la costruzione di una società sostenibile e tollerante.
By now it is clear that the rich countries are not politically able to address the crisis of migrants, and not only because the number of refugees has reached appalling figures; according to the UN, 59.5 million of the world’s people have been displaced.
Interfering with this are the interests of rich countries and corporations, whose global power is not indifferent to that of ‘democracies’, which contribute to instability and inflame the situation.
The migrant crisis presents a global challenge and it’s time to deal with it as such by focusing efforts – bailouts, walls, refugee camps, emergency expenses and so on – in a constructive project that overcomes the inaction and gives hope to the millions currently abandoned.
It is no longer acceptable that the refugee camps in stressed parts of the world become human dumping grounds.
The loss a life in tragic circumstances in Western countries always attracts attention and makes the news. It should be the same for those multitudes of lives lost or suffering while fleeing danger or simply trying to survive.
It will be difficult to overcome the idea of ‘walls’ in countries that do not want immigrants because immediate solutions are needed that cannot wait for a maturation of consciousness and compassion.
Consensus for the creation of a host country (State of Peace, Peace State) could offer a global solution starting with the identification of a prospective territory.
The establishment of Israel offers a historical example, with the added benefit of experience. That’s where international efforts could have an immediate result.
Immigrants themselves could actively contribute instead of being passive subjects without a say in their destiny. It is also likely that from this emergency it is possible to build a sustainable and tolerant society.

Nessuno ha ancora chiarito come gli incessanti e indiscriminati bombardamenti occidentali siano meno barbari degli atti terroristici
Ormai si bombarda senza opposizioni o alternative proposte per affrontare le tensioni che nel mondo si stanno moltiplicando, in misura corrispondente alla crescente disuguaglianza sociale ed economica.
Ma un segnala lampante conferma che c’è in atto qualcosa di molto più profondo e sinistro di una crisi politica occidentale, il voto recente della Camera dei comuni inglese che ha rifiutato di accogliere 3000 orfani siriani di Calais.
La decisione è stata priva di un senso minimo di umanità, quello che per gli apologeti distinguerebbe il «civile» Occidente dalle altre culture e fedi, e rappresenta un atto vergognoso tra i simili segnali, come quelli di sequestrare beni ai profughi, come fa la Danimarca e altri stati della Ue, come lasciarli alla deriva a Idomeni e Lesbo o dare un po’di quattrini a Erdogan purché non li faccia passare.
Che fine faranno i bambini che il socialista Hollande fa marcire a Calais, tra assalti xenofobi e manganellate? Sembra che nessuno lo sappia, e a nessuno interessa.
La motivazione del voto inglese è sublime nella sua ipocrisia. Noi non li accogliamo, per dissuadere altri profughi dal chiedere asilo in Inghilterra.
Dopo un po’ di lacrimucce sui bambini annegati sulle spiagge greche e turche, ecco che prendiamo a calci quelli che non sono annegati, o semplicemente ne ignoriamo l’esistenza.
No one has yet explained how the incessant and indiscriminate bombing by the West is less barbaric than terrorist acts.
Bombing is now carried out without opposition or alternative proposals to address world tensions that are multiplying in line with growing social and economic inequality.
But a striking confirmation of something much deeper and sinister in the political crisis of the West is the recent vote by the UK’s House of Commons that refused asylum to 3,000 Syrian orphans in Calais.
The decision was devoid of a minimum sense of humanity, that which for apologists distinguished the “civil” West from other cultures and faiths. It represents a shameful act similar to the act of seizing the possessions of refugees, as does Denmark and other EU states, similar to abandoning refugees in camps in Idomeni and Lesvos or giving a bit of money to Turkish President Erdogan to not allow refugees through.
What will happen to the children that the Socialist Hollande lets rot in Calais in between xenophobic assaults and beatings? It seems that no one knows, and no one cares.
The motivation of the English vote is sublime in its hypocrisy. We do not welcome them in order to deter other refugees from seeking asylum in England.
After a bit of crying over children drowned on Greek and Turkish beaches, we kick or ignore those who are not drowned.

La guerra altro non è che seminagione d’odio. Nessuno dei conflitti proclamati dall’Occidente dal 1991 ad oggi — Iraq, Somalia, Balcani, Afghanistan, Libia, Siria — ha benché minimamente risolto i problemi sul campo, anzi li ha tragicamente aggravati.
Senza l’intervento in Iraq del 2003 lo Stato islamico nemmeno esisterebbe. Gli «Amici della Siria», vale a dire tutto lo schieramento occidental-europeo più Arabia saudita e Turchia, hanno fatto in tre anni in Siria quel che avevano fatto in Libia, alimentando e finanziando milizie e riducendo il Paese ad un cumulo di macerie alla mercé di gruppi più o meno jihadisti.
Dalle «nostre» guerre fuggono milioni di esseri umani. Quando partirono i primi raid della Nato sulla Libia a fine marzo 2011, cominciò un esodo in massa di più di un milione e mezzo di persone, tante quelle di provenienza dall’Africa centrale che lavoravano in territorio libico. Quell’esodo, con quello da Iraq e Siria, prova disperatamente ogni giorno ad attraversare la barbarie dei muri della fortezza Europa.
Tutto questo è sotto la luce del sole. Come il fatto che l’alleato, la Turchia, preferisce massacrare i kurdi che combattono contro l’Isis piuttosto che tagliare gli affari e le retrovie con il Califfato.
War is nothing but the sowing of hatred. None of conflicts waged by the West since 1991 – Iraq, Somalia, the Balkans, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria – has in the least solved any problems, indeed they have tragically aggravated them.
Without the intervention in Iraq in 2003 the Islamic state would not even exist. The “Friends of Syria”, Western-European deployments supported by Saudi Arabia and Turkey, have done in three years in Syria what they had done in Libya, fueling and funding militias and reducing the country to a pile of rubble at the mercy of more or less jihadist groups.
As a consequence millions of human beings are fleeing from ‘our’ wars. Following the first NATO raid on Libya in late March 2011, there began a mass exodus of more than a million and a half people, many from Central Africa who were working in Libya. That exodus, along with those from Iraq and Syria, continues desperately trying to daily cross the barbarous walls of Fortress Europe.
All this is self evident, like the fact that ‘our’ ally, Turkey, prefers to massacre the Kurds fighting against Isis rather than cut business ties with the Caliphate.

Australia’s Refugee Policy has long been a great worry for many people. Refugees and asylum seekers have been used as a political football by both major parties. Since 1992, when mandatory detention was introduced, successive governments have toughened up on border protection. Boat people in particular have been singled out for harsh treatment. Our current Government keeps a lid on what is happening, while the public are misled by misinformation and myths. Many refugee support organisations, including the UNHCR, have taken Australia to task for its inhumane treatment of asylum seekers. REFUGE is an immersion into the haunting reality lived by those who are suffering at the hand of a flawed and cruel system. REFUGE aims to debunk the myths, undo the demonisation, and does so in a clear and often humorous way, in spite of its serious and complex subject matter. REFUGE allows us to be moved, reclaim our humanity and take action: standing up for human rights. To this end we enact true stories, based on extensive fieldwork, facts and eyewitness reports, particularly the perspective of the victims.
REFUGE tells the stories of children in detention, of boat people forced into off-shore detention, of stateless persons caught in endless red tape, of ethnic minorities trapped by discrimination, of people kept in limbo indefinitely, and of the whistleblowers who bravely try to stop the litany of injustice. The storylines are woven together to create a wide spectrum. Using dance, song, drama and poetry, our team takes the audience on an engaging and intimate journey.

Il rischio di stagnazione sociale ed economica dalle conseguenze complesse dovute alla crisi finanziaria globale, sembra già nella notte dei tempi ma la complicazione degli effetti è ancora molto reale, essendo un fenomeno globale.
A questa si aggiungono altri processi rivoluzionari come l’automazione e l’informatizzazione della produzione e gran parte delle attività umane.
Una risposta globale è stata quella di fare ciò che sembra inevitabile – essere il primo, il migliore e il più richiesto in uno spazio di mercato spietato dove, come in tutte le competizioni, ci sono molti perdenti e pochi vincitori.
La sfida per le comunità e i loro governi, è quella di amministrare, in modo creativo e costruttivo, nuove tecnologie e sistemi dirompenti, invece di limitarsi a rattoppare le conseguenze.
I governi possono e devono essere proattivi in un clima dirompente che offra opportunità nuove e sostanziali nel soddisfare le esigenze sociali aggiungendole ai fondamenti di una comunità dinamica e sostenibile.
Queste opportunità si trovano nei bisogni della gente, nei diritti delle persone, nel consenso su progetti infrastrutturali per continuare o rilanciare l’attività economica e la disponibilità di grandi accumuli di denaro tenuto da vari organismi come fondi pensionistici e partecipazioni private. In altre parole – c’è il bisogno e c’è il denaro – e questo apre la possibilità di immaginare e realizzare progetti che migliorano la vita delle persone, la salute del pianeta e la vita che sostiene.
The risk of social and economic stagnation from complex consequences of a global financial crisis that already seems in the dim past but whose complicated impacts are still very real, is a global phenomenon. Added to this are other revolutionary processes such as the automation and computerisation of manufacturing, general production and much of human activity. A common global response has been to do what appears inevitable – be the first, the best and the most demanded in an unforgiving market space where, as in all competitions, many losers underpin few winners. The challenge for communities and their governments is to administer emerging disruptive machines and methods creatively and constructively instead of being left with patching up their integration or intrusion. Governments can and must be proactive in a disruptive climate that offers new and substantial opportunities in meeting social needs and add to the foundations of sustainable dynamic communities. These opportunities are found in people’s needs, in people’s rights, in the current concensus on infrastructure projects to continue or kick-start economic activity and the availability of large pools of money held and held up in bodies like super funds and private equity holdings. In other words – there is the need and there is the money – and this opens up the chance to imagine and implement projects that improve people’s lives and the health of the planet and the life it supports.
